Executor
Search for and launch programs, sites, or files quickly and easily with lots of additional features
Executor is a more sophisticated and configurable version of Windows Run that serves as a multipurpose launcher. The idea for the programme came from my frustration with having to spend too much time looking for programmes in my ever expanding Windows start menu and my need for a tool to streamline and improve my daily workflow. Of course, there were already similar programmes available, but each had a drawback, a function that was lacking, or it was overly technical. Features consist of: Keywords have attributes such as shortcuts (you can drag and drop a file, folder, favourite, or shortcut to add it as a keyword); URL, file system, and keyword auto-completion
detection; the option to add your own routes to scan for user-defined file extensions; parameter-supported phrases such as "Google latest executor" or "wiki nirvana"; dynamically added start-menu, control panel, and other useful elements to the drop-down/list.
Clipboard instructions, automatic launch of the closest match in the event of no precise match, and numerous other improvements and enhancements are included in version 0.99.
