A wrapper for OpenSSH and Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection is called Remote Desktop Assistant. It uses the Remote Desktop Client (mstsc.exe) and produces RDP configuration files. Compared to Remote Desktop Client, it offers additional RDP file parameter configuration options. The programme also makes use of the integrated OpenSSH client and lets you add start-up and auto-password instructions. The application also combines the functionality of a Wake-On-LAN magic packet transmitter, which automatically retrieves the MAC addresses of LAN machines, with a port and ping monitor. Multiple remote desktop connections are managed by it. Remote computer entries can be added, edited, and removed. In addition to sending ICMP pings to distant PCs, Remote Desktop Assistant verifies the status of remote RDP/SSH ports.
